After the popularity of the Wild World 1500-piece puzzle, we decided to partner again with Pomegranate for a different map. This stunning puzzle features a large section of North America: Portrait of a Continent, a hand-drawn map that took five years to complete. I began drafting the original map in 2012 on my fridge in Montreal, inspired by my travels across the continent.

A full puzzle of the entire map would be enormous, so for a perfect 1000-piece format this edition focuses on the continent’s middle latitudes, spanning tundra to tropics. It brings together geography, cities, and wildlife in rich detail, from the Great Bear Rainforest on the Pacific Coast to Puerto Rico in the Atlantic.
